November 1, 2024 PD
On November 1, 2024 our Teachers and Staff participated in a fun-filled team building day. We started the day with an awesome motivational speaker, Mr. Sam Glenn. Mr. Glenn’s speech was based on the saying “The strength of the wolf is in the pack and the strength of the pack is in the wolf.” He focused on understanding your purpose and the value that each of us bring to our school. With this understanding, our school, as a whole, can achieve goals and objectives together. He also painted a picture of a wolf that was a gift to our school. It will be displayed in the high school foyer area. He left us another painting of a wildcat that was for a drawing. Mrs. Stacy Haynes won the drawing and graciously donated it back to the school so that one of Mr. Glenn’s paintings can be displayed in the High School and the Elementary buildings as a reminder of his presentation.
Then everyone had a chance to make a new custom lanyard for their key cards. After lunch, we had the Ultimate Educator’s Adventure exploring Winona and surrounding areas. Pictures at each location were required to successfully complete the scavenger hunt. We are also thankful to some generous donors who provided a free drink from the Fuel House in Eminence which was not far off the trail.
When everyone returned we had a couple drawings for prizes and Mrs. Spurgin closed the day with an uplifting speech about focusing on the big picture and not getting hung up on the small stuff. The small stuff can get really heavy and weigh us down.
