We are getting ready to start the new school year and all of us are very excited to see our kids back in school. We have missed them all.
Some things to remember:
• Screen your child(ren) at home prior to sending them to school. Assess for fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, wheezing and loss of taste or smell.
• We will have random temperature checks throughout the campus.
• Masks are encouraged but must also fit with the handbook dress code.
• If your student usually rides the bus, if at all possible, please drive them to and from school.
• At lunch, middle school students will sit with their assigned class. (Ex. 7A, 7B, 8A & 8B).
• At lunch high school students will sit 10 or less to a table.
• As we start off this school year, everyone has a $ 0.00 lunch balance. Lunch balances will be sent out via text message on a weekly basis. This will start in September.
• All lunch money will need to be turned into either the elementary office or the superintendent’s office.
• Please send a fillable water bottle for your students. We will only be using the bottle filling stations throughout the campus. No drinking fountains will be used.
• We have 2 Wi-Fi hot spots on campus that can be utilized during OFF hours. NO parents or online students are to be on campus during school hours. If you need the password, please call the appropriate office.
• Please do NOT send hand sanitizer to school. We have plenty. We have added several hand sanitizer stations throughout the buildings and are expecting more to arrive daily. They will be installed as soon as they arrive.
• High school doors will be unlocked @ 7:15 each morning. 7th and 8th grade students will report to the FACS room. If you eat breakfast, you will take it to your classroom @ 7:30. No middle school students will be allowed in the gym prior to school starting. We are trying to social distance as much as possible.
• Parents we are asking you to call the appropriate office prior to checking your child either in or out. We are trying to limit external exposure so please DO NOT try to enter the buildings. There are speakers and cameras on front doors if you need to access office personal.
• We know that things may be different at first but we will get through this together. We are all looking forward to a great school year and are ready to get started.
